Baseball Recap: Marietta Has No Trouble Against Southern

Marietta never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the Southern Tornadoes as they made off with a 10-0 victory. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 7-4 win the Tornadoes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2023.

The victory made it two in a row for Marietta and bumps their season record up to 8-12. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Southern, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Coming up, Marietta will take on Parkersburg South at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern, they will challenge Gallia Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
