The Madison County Cowboys will head out on the road to take on the Pace Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison County is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Madison County humbled Bay with a 42-14 victory. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Tornadoes are ranked 320th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madison County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jason Mcdaniel, who rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Williams, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown.

He was just one part of a punishing run game: Madison County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 316 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pace). They blew past Crestview 56-28 on the road on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Pace found their leader in underclassman Williams, who rushed for 264 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.5 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Williams is now averaging an impressive 121.8 rushing yards per game. Ben Tyner was another major influence, as he rushed for 51 yards and ran in a TD.

Pace's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Jordan Taylor and Caleb Curry.

Madison County's record is now 4-1. As for Pace, their record now sits at 4-1.

Madison County might still be hurting after the 58-37 loss they got from Pace in their previous meeting back in September of 2014. Thankfully for Madison County, Quaide Weimerskirch (who rushed for 238 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 66 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
