You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Red Cloud's strategy against Heartland Lutheran on Tuesday. The Red Cloud Warriors took down the Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets 50-33. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Red Cloud's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gage Ely, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ely has scored at least a third of Red Cloud's points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Giger, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points and five boards.

Despite the defeat, Heartland Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: freshman Luke Olson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 48.5% of Heartland Lutheran's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Red Cloud pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Heartland Lutheran, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.
