Liberty has gone 9-1 against Easton Area recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hurricanes will face off against the Rovers at 4:00 p.m. Liberty is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Liberty had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Pocono Mountain West on Thursday. The Hurricanes blew past the Panthers 14-1. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Rocco Sciarra spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Dylan Metzgar was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Strong, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Liberty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Easton Area). They came out on top against Pocono Mountain East by a score of 9-5 on Friday.
Zach Mattes tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Nolan Fuller was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. Khamryn Singto also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Liberty pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Easton Area, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Easton Area's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Liberty has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .496. It's a different story for Easton Area, though, as they've only averaged .362. Will they be able to contain Liberty's hitters?
Everything went Liberty's way against Easton Area when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Liberty made off with a 16-0 victory. Will the Hurricanes repeat their success, or do the Rovers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
