Basketball Recap: Arlington Cardinals vs. Great Plains Lutheran Panthers
Arlington managed to keep up with Great Plains Lutheran until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Arlington Cardinals were beaten by the Great Plains Lutheran Panthers 67-35. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured 11 defeats in a row.
Great Plains Lutheran can attribute much of their success to Hayden Karli, who went 7 of 16 to rack up 17 points and four steals. That's the most steals Karli has posted since back in February of 2024. Jarret Bauer was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.
Arlington's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Great Plains Lutheran, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-9.
We've got a battle between Cardinals coming up. Arlington will need to watch out since St. Mary has now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
