Basketball Recap: Liberty Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Liberty had won four straight road games and Bryana Pantallion did her part to make it five on Saturday. The Liberty Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Teague Lions, sneaking past 39-37 thanks in part to Pantallion, who posted 25 points and eight rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Jaclyn Haley was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight boards and three steals. What's more, she also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in November.

Liberty is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Teague, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will face off against Cleveland at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is facing Cleveland at the right time seeing as Cleveland is stuck on a 20-game losing streak. As for Teague, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mexia at 6:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
