Soccer Recap: Putnam County Takes a Loss

Putnam County lost against Toombs County back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The War Eagles lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. Putnam County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Putnam County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Toombs County, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Putnam County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oglethorpe County at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Toombs County, they will venture away from home to challenge Vidalia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Toombs County will be up against Vidalia's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.5 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
