Soccer Preview: Laurel vs. Hawken
Laurel is 0-6-1 against Hawken since October of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Gators will face off against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Laurel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.
Hawken better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Laurel's game on Saturday is any indication, that's when Laurel really gets things going. The Gators never let Holy Name get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Laurel's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.
Kaya Sgro and Alex Freeman scored all three of Laurel's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.
Meanwhile, for the first time since back in September, Hawken was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. Neither they nor Andrews Osborne Academy could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
