Volleyball Recap: Lowndes' Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Lowndes hadn't beaten Lee County on the road since August 30, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Vikings came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lowndes never let Lee County on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-17.

Dara Mason paced Lowndes' offense, picking up eight kills. Mason got some help from Kalli Ferguson and her 15 assists. Ferguson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lowndes' win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Lee County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Coincidentally, Lowndes and Lee County will both be playing Hardaway the next time they take the court. The Vikings will host the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
