Volleyball Recap: Arlington Spy Ponders vs. Lexington Minutemen

Arlington lost against Lexington back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spy Ponders came up short against the Minutemen, falling 3-0. The Spy Ponders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Arlington had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-18.

Brady Cheeves paced Arlington's offense, picking up five kills. Cheeves got some help from Ian Lewis and his 13 assists. Finally, Cheeves was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Arlington's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Lexington, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Arlington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Malden on the 9th. As for Lexington, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Wakefield Memorial on the 8th.
