Softball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. Hoover Cardinals

The High Tech SD Storm will venture away from home to face off against the Hoover Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for High Tech SD and six for Hoover.

High Tech SD lost 10-2 to Bonsall on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Hoover came up short against Kearny on Wednesday, falling 27-21. Even if the Cardinals couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Hoover got a massive performance out of Izel Somarriba, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that Somarriba has hit this season. Yazmyne Rodriguez was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for High Tech SD, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
