Baseball Recap: Helena Comes Up Short

Helena lost against Hewitt-Trussville back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Helena came up short against Hewitt-Trussville, falling 12-1. Helena has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Helena's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Helena will venture away from home to square off against Hueytown at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Helena has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they will host Springville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Springville 2.2, Hewitt-Trussville 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
