Baseball Recap: Tidehaven Find Success

Tidehaven was forced to take a big loss against Hallettsville on Saturday, they got the better of them on Tuesday. The Tigers walked away with a 5-2 win over the Brahmas. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Brahmas on their field since March 9, 2022.

STRATTON CROW made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on BOOGIE GALVAN, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was TRISTAN GALVAN, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Tidehaven's record now sits at 10-7-2. As for Hallettsville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tidehaven will head out to face off against Edna at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hallettsville, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Palacios at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
