It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but University had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Ramona Convent Tigers with a sharp 10-2 win. Considering the Trojans have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Carson Cruz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Cruz was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, University let Sophia Weinberg and Alexandra McBride run wild. Weinberg went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs, while McBride went 4-for-5 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits McBride has posted since back in April. Maiko Shiraiwa was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.

University was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They are 12-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

University has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.
