Baseball Game Preview: Canon-McMillan Big Macs vs. North Hills Indians

The Canon-McMillan Big Macs will challenge the North Hills Indians on Monday. Canon-McMillan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Canon-McMillan fell victim to Bethel Park and their airtight pitching crew last Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Black Hawks. The Big Macs haven't had much luck with the Black Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Sebastian Shulsky was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April.

Beaver hit North Hills with a five-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians fell 8-4 to the Bobcats.

Canon-McMillan's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for North Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Canon-McMillan came out on top in a nail-biter against North Hills in their previous meeting back in May of 2016, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Big Macs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
