Volleyball Recap: La Jolla Vikings vs. El Camino Wildcats
La Jolla won the last time they faced El Camino and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0.
While La Jolla won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21.
Myles Plaskonos paced La Jolla's offense, picking up nine kills. Plaskonos got some help from Dylan Marshall and his 12 assists. Moxy Appelbaum controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
La Jolla's win bumped their record up to 14-17. As for El Camino, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-17.
Coincidentally, La Jolla and El Camino will both be playing Westview the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
