Football Recap: Manteo Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Manteo and East Bladen squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Manteo had to settle for second. They took a hard 38-21 fall against the Eagles.

East Bladen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dashon Campbell, who rushed for 170 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Campbell is now averaging an impressive 102 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Lewis, who rushed for 109 yards and one score on only 13 carries.

Manteo's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for East Bladen, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Manteo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Bladen, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 54-7 loss against Tarboro on the 28th.
