Soccer Game Preview: Cedar Shoals vs. East Hall

The Cedar Shoals Jaguars will head out on the road to take on the East Hall Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Cedar Shoals' favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three games.

Cedar Shoals was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They beat Eastside by a goal, winning 4-3. The Jaguars better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Zulma Valdivieso-Gutierrez, as she scored every single goal for her team.

Meanwhile, East Hall didn't have quite enough to beat East Jackson on Friday and fell 3-2. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Hall's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cedar Shoals, they moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Everything went Cedar Shoals' way against East Hall in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Cedar Shoals made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedar Shoals since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
