There's no place like home for Red Bud, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Musketeers: when they faced off against the Indians/Lady Indians on Tuesday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Derrick Whelan was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Red Bud was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carlyle only posted a batting average of .250.

Red Bud has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Carlyle, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-5.

Coming up, Red Bud will host Wesclin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlyle, they will head out to face off against Greenville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Comets will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Indians/Lady Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
