Baseball Recap: Wasco Wins Going Away Against Delano

Wasco had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Delano on Tuesday. Wasco blew past Delano 12-1. Wasco has beaten Delano the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Delano has come to flipping the script.

Wasco got a massive performance out of Arturo Gonzales, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Gonzales a new career-high. Marcus Flores was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Wasco always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delano only posted an OBP of .345.

Wasco's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Delano, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
