            Softball Recap: Frontier Cougars vs. Cameron Dragons        
        
		
        
        
            While Frontier put up some  runs on Wednesday, the same  can't be said for Cameron. The Cougars were the clear victors by  a  10-0 margin over the Dragons. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won four games by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
 Kaycee Berentz was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI and one  double. That  double was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Keeley Barrows, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.  Braylee Buck was another key player,  scoring three  runs while going 1-for-1.

The  win keeps Frontier at an undefeated 7-0. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.6 runs this season. As for Cameron, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Coming up, Frontier will take on Beallsville at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Cameron, they will square off against Trinity Christian at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so the Dragons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
