Softball Recap: Windsor Comes Up Short

Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Maloney Spartans, falling 16-4. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Aaliyah G made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Maloney, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will host Enfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maloney, they will challenge New Britain at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Golden Hurricanes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.75 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
