Football Game Preview: Hunt Warriors vs. Northern Nash Knights + How To Watch

The Hunt Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Northern Nash Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hunt's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.

Hunt will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Southern Nash, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Warriors took down the Firebirds 51-34 on Friday.

Mez Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 98 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles and defending one pass. Doryan Jones was in the mix too, providing Hunt with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hunt was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 157 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Hunt didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Jamauris Howard led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Jayden Warren is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last six games he's played. Howard got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Northern Nash came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Saints 51-7. With the Knights ahead 44-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Hunt's record is now 6-1. As for Northern Nash, their record now sits at an identical 6-1.

Hunt might still be hurting after the 35-14 defeat they got from Northern Nash in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
