Baseball Recap: Boyne City Comes Up Short

Kingsley hit Boyne City with a four-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Ramblers lost 13-1 to the Stags. The Ramblers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stags apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Boyne City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cal Royce, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Royce's first of the season.

Boyne City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15-2. As for Kingsley, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boyne City will head out to challenge Gaylord at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Ramblers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kingsley, they will take on Evart at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
