Basketball Recap: Rocky Mount Academy Takes a Loss

If Rocky Mount Academy was feeling good fresh off their 79-39 takedown of Kerr-Vance Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rocky Mount Academy Eagles took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots on Monday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Rocky Mount Academy lost, don't look at Hank Berry. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gehrig Miller, who earned 11 points.

Rocky Mount Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Rocky Mount Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-57 victory against Halifax Academy on the 10th. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-27 win against Wilson Christian Academy on the 10th.
