Basketball Game Preview: Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders vs. Fulshear Chargers

The Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders will challenge the Fulshear Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Strake Jesuit comes in on three and Fulshear on four.

On Friday, Strake Jesuit beat Alief Elsik 53-46. Given the Fighting Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Rams are ranked 555th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Fulshear posted their closest victory since December 9, 2023 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-46 win over Foster. The score was all tied up 29-29 at the break, but the Chargers were the better team in the second half.

Strake Jesuit has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Fulshear, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13.
