Soccer Recap: Hanks Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Hanks was not quite El Dorado's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They lost 4-0 to the El Dorado Aztecs. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 454th, while the Aztecs are ranked 60th).

This is the second loss in a row for Hanks and nudges their season record down to 3-10. As for El Dorado, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

When Hanks and El Dorado next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hanks will challenge Americas and their three-game winning streak at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Similarly, El Dorado will try to stop Del Valle's three-game winning streak when the meet at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
