Recap: Lawrence County Red Devils vs. West Morgan Rebels
The Lawrence County Red Devils suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of West Morgan by a score of 50-48. Lawrence County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Morgan apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Lawrence County still got an impressive performance from Kylie Graham, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Graham continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Templeton, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Lawrence County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for West Morgan, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-11.
Lawrence County will be playing in front of their home fans against Russellville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Morgan, they will head out on the road to challenge Westminster Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
