Hunter Vitello tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over 5.2 innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Denver South's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Coppock, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Another was Johnny Komarowsky, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, DSST: Montview came up short against Englewood on Thursday, falling 9-1.

Denver South's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for DSST: Montview, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
