Kanab had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Water Canyon Wildcats as they made off with a 19-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 25-0 on Tuesday.

Kash Kabonic was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kanab got a massive performance out of Walker Baird, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Baird has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kale Glover, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Kanab always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Kanab pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Water Canyon, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Kanab does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Water Canyon, they will venture away from home to square off against Millard at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
