Volleyball Recap: Brad Chier Key Part of Team Effort in Knights Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against High Tech Mesa, Victory Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the O'Farrell Charter Falcons by a score of 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-1 victory two weeks ago.

The victory didn't come easy: O'Farrell Charter scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Victory Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brad Chier, who had 17 kills, ten digs, nine aces, and one block. Chier has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 28 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Esteban Torres, who had four digs, four aces, and one block.

They weren't the only good server: Victory Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Victory Christian Academy's record is now 18-14. As for O'Farrell Charter, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-26.

As of now, neither Victory Christian Academy nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
