Camren Whitmire and Kai Taylor secure win for Springfield

Recap: Springfield Blue Devils vs. Ross Little Giants

The Springfield Blue Devils have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They snuck past Ross with a 49-44 victory on Friday. For Springfield, this counts as revenge for the 48-37 loss Ross walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Springfield was led to victory by Camren Whitmire and Kai Taylor. Whitmire scored 11 points, while Taylor scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Adams, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.

Springfield's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Ross, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Springfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Bowling Green at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ross, they will head out on the road to challenge Clay at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Ross is coming into the contest with seven straight losses on the road, meaning Clay will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
