Volleyball Recap: Centennial Broncos vs. St. Cecilia Bluehawks

Centennial unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the St. Cecilia Bluehawks on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Broncos have suffered since October 3, 2024.

Centennial took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-13, 25-21.

Tyler Opfer paced Centennial's offense, picking up five kills. Opfer got some help from Hannah Luebbe and her eight assists. Cheyenne Tonniges controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

St. Cecilia was led to victory by Aspen Anderson and Allyse Evans. Anderson had 11 digs and three aces, while Evans had seven digs and one assist. Those three aces gave Anderson a new career-high.
