Baseball Recap: Gallia Academy Comes Up Short

Gallia Academy suffered their biggest loss since May 21, 2025 on Saturday. They came up short against the Marietta Tigers, falling 11-1. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gallia Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Marietta, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Coming up, Gallia Academy will venture away from home to square off against Ironton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Fighting Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Marietta, they will square off against Parkersburg South at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
