Basketball Recap: Outreach Christian Comes Up Short

Outreach Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against Plaza Heights Christian Academy, falling 77-26. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-5.

Outreach Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Braylon Lust, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was KeMond Davis, who scored two points and four steals.

Shawn Burke was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. Those ten points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Bickle, who earned ten points.

Outreach Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-7.

Outreach Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Applewood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on February 10th.
