Great Hearts Irving put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They breezed by Uplift Infinity Prep at home to the tune of 74-10. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-0.
Great Hearts Irving relied on the efforts of Kyle Crissey, who scored 21 points, and Tavion Pryor, who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pryor has scored all season. John Cotter was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Texas Can Academy was beaten by Great Hearts Irving 70-22 back in November of 2023. Texas Can Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-16.
Great Hearts Irving's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Texas Can Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Great Hearts Irving against Texas Can Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 70-22 victory. With Great Hearts Irving ahead 51-16 at the half, the game was all but over already.
