Baseball Recap: Harrison Central Takes a Loss

Harrison Central came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-2 to the St. Martin Yellow Jackets. The Red Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellow Jackets earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Harrison Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolton Beard, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Beard hit this season.

Harrison Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. St. Martin's win bumped their record up to 9-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Harrison Central beat St. Martin by a score of 7-5 on Saturday.
