Softball Recap: Flower Mound Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Flower Mound can now relate to. They fell just short of the Midway Panthers by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-0 defeat on Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Flower Mound and nudges their season record down to 25-9-1. As for Midway, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 23 of their last 24 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-3 record this season.

Flower Mound does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Midway, they will face off against Clear Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
