Baseball Recap: Russell County Takes a Loss

Russell County lost against Pike Road back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors fell 6-3 to the Patriots. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Russell County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Cannon, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Russell County's record is now 10-14. As for Pike Road, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-19 record this season.

While Russell County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
