Basketball Recap: Roger Bacon's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Roger Bacon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 62-55 win over the Cincinnati College Prep Academy Lions on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Roger Bacon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Byrd led the charge by going 9 for 19 on his way to 21 points and seven assists. Byrd continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Michael Noszka Jr. was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.
