Basketball Recap: Gunter Skates Past Leonard with Ease

Gunter was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Leonard on Tuesday. Gunter blew past Leonard 65-35. Gunter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Gunter has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points over those games. As for Leonard, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gunter is set to square off against their familiar foe Pottsboro at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Leonard will face off against rival S & S Consolidated at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
