Basketball Recap: Lexington Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Lexington won the last time they faced Holden and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lexington Minutemen strolled past the Holden Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 69-55. Given the Minutemen's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Eagles are ranked 541st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lexington pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Holden, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Lexington will head out to challenge Lafayette County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holden, they will be playing at home against Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
