Basketball Recap: Edgewood Lions vs. Rosemead Panthers
Edgewood and Rosemead squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Edgewood had to settle for second. They fell 61-53 to the Rosemead Panthers. The Lions lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in December of 2015, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 78-47 score last time.
Leading Rosemead to victory were Rhys Anderson and Preston Huynh. Anderson posted 25 points, while Huynh scored 17 points. Huynh continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Rosemead, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-12.
Edgewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rosemead, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-33 victory against South El Monte on the 21st.
