Meridian scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Ridgevue Warhawks by a score of 13-12. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row.

Bodee Randall put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Randall wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Blake Sims, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Alex Marquardt was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Ridgevue, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2-1.

Meridian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-3 defeat against Rocky Mountain on the 4th. As for Ridgevue, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-10 loss against Middleton on the 4th.
