Basketball Recap: Example Academy Takes a Loss

Example Academy was the 47-46 winner over Winston Salem Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Example Academy Eagles fell 54-42 to the Winston Salem Christian Lions on Sunday.

Winston Salem Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aleksandra Kubiak led the charge by putting up 15 points. Another player making a difference was Cimora Rorie, who posted ten points.

Example Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Winston Salem Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Coming up, Example Academy will face off against Western Reserve Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winston Salem Christian, they have already played their next contest, a 65-54 win against Oak City Prep on the 16th.
