Cason Coomer put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Thursday. He wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). The pitching appearance was his third straight with one or fewer walks.

Coming up, Coomer and North Rock Creek will head out to take on Perkins-Tryon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Coomer had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their game back in April of 2024 8-7. If he drops another game like that, the outcome could be different this time around.
