Baseball Recap: Camarillo Scorpions vs. Poly Parrots
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Camarillo nor Poly made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Scorpions walked away with a 4-1 win over the Parrots. The Scorpions haven't had any issues with the Parrots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Luc Ross and Turner Hothan dominated on the mound. Ross pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Hothan didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, Ross posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025.
At the plate, Camarillo saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Morehouse, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
