Basketball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Comes Up Short

Thomas Jefferson was the 78-67 winner over Baldwin when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Thomas Jefferson Jaguars received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 67-50 to the Baldwin Highlanders. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Highlanders are ranked 29th).

Thomas Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Baldwin, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

When Thomas Jefferson and Baldwin next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Thomas Jefferson will take on Peters Township and their four-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Baldwin will try to stop South Allegheny's nine-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
