Soccer Game Preview: Conway vs. St. James

Conway is 2-8 against St. James since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tigers will host the Sharks at 7:15 p.m.

Conway lost 5-1 to Myrtle Beach on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Conway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Myrtle Beach are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, St. James brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Everything went their way against Carolina Forest on Tuesday as they made off with a 6-3 victory. Considering St. James have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Carolina Forest from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Christian Bartol led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Conway's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for St. James, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
