Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Jefferson walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Brodhead Cardinals on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Jefferson, bringing their record up to 23-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Brodhead, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 19-5 record.

Jefferson has already played their next matchup (against West Salem), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brodhead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
